Grover Cleveland Alexander is a famous person in the world of baseball. The legendary baseball player who is also known as “Old Pete”. He played in Major League Baseball for the Philadelphia Phillies, Chicago Cubs, and St. Louis Cardinals and was elected into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1938. He has acquired awesome achievements that baseball players of today’s generation has been dying to have. These would include 90 shutouts that is a National League record and his 373 wins are tied with Christy Mathewson for first in the National League record book. He is also third all time in wins, tenth in innings pitched (5190), second in shutouts, and eighth in hits allowed (4868). He was born in n Elba, Nebraska and got his first professional contract in 1907 at an early age of 20 earning . Quite big enough during his time. He then passed away at the age of 63. The Grover Cleveland Alexander Tournament has been dedicated for his memory. Comment Subscribe Subscribe July 25, 2010 -- The Panel of 'Cowboys & Aliens' at Comic-Con 2010 lit up when Daniel Craig and Harrison Ford showed up both to talk about this new movie. Add Olivia Wilde and the party started for the fans who were seriously anticipating this panel.The film has been shooting for only 3 weeks, but that wasn't too soon to talk about the movie that is creating serious buzz at Comic-Con 2010. The idea that the stars showed up at all was a surprise to most of the fans as they didn't even expect it.'Cowboys & Aliens' is a movie based on a comic book of the same name. The Diirector Jon Favreau was also on hand to talk a little bit about the movie, but the fans did get a glimpse of Craig's gadget with some of the images shown at the panel.
